Copywriter Intern

Postion Overview 

We are seeking a dynamic copywriting intern to help with in-house marketing needs. The person in this role will be interested in both short and long form copywriting and will work with the CEO and creative team to write social, presentation, and web copy. When appropriate, assistance with client communications may also be an element of this role. This is an outstanding, unique opportunity to learn brand-focused copy with a senior-led team!

The Content Writer Intern candidate should have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, the ability to balance multiple projects and a desire to pitch ideas and produce original work. 


* Writing and editing content for newsletters, press releases, letters and reports.
* Writing and editing engaging social media posts and website copy.
* Developing marketing materials such as, brochures, flyers, digital ads and promos.
* Developing client stories.
* Ensuring all written communication and marketing materials are consistent with cdcb’s mission and values.
* Identify new media outlets and community partners.
* Other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will possess the following skills and/or attributes:
* Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in relevant field such as English, Creative
Writing, Mass Communication or Journalism.
* Ability to make a 20-week commitment
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Capable of working remotely with a high degree of productivity
* Excellent attention to detail; strong research skills
* Bilingual, English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
