We are seeking a Web Developer intern to join the Minds On team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the design team with creative aspects of web design for a variety of our clients. This position requires proven creative ability as well as the ability to take direction well and help brainstorm new projects with the design team. The Design Intern must have a good sense of style, aesthetic and creativity together with an understanding of project objectives that can be unified to translate into meaningful visual communication. Candidates should be self-driven and motivated, but also be able take direction and work collaboratively.

The Web Design & Development Intern is responsible for assisting with organizing and developing website(s).

Responsibilities:

* Assist with designing, editing and maintaining client websites
* Troubleshoot site issues quickly and effectively
* Communicate with the marketing team to ensure the content and organization of websites meet company and client needs

Intermediate knowledge of graphic design, web development, and digital communications. Experience in web tools is a MUST.

Requirements:

* Must be proficient in WordPress, and Adobe Photoshop
* Familiar with SVGs and Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma
* Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP
* Familiar with cPanel, phpMyAdmin and FTP
* Takes initiative when problem-solving and is not afraid to ask questions
* Knowledge of UI/UX Design
* Shopify and Magento experience is a plus
* Knowledge of Digital Marketing Tactics is also a plus
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
* A self starter with excellent communication skills and ability to communicate creative ideas to associates and team members.
* Solid understanding of typography, web, and user interface design
